Preventive dental services

Services available to eligible children to help reduce the risk of dental problems and keep teeth healthy.

Peel Public Health has reopened 2 preventive dental clinics in the community after the COVID-19 response.

Oral health is an important part of a child's overall health. Preventive dental services can help prevent dental problems such as tooth decay.

It's important that all children know how to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Dental care can be very costly, and not all families have dental insurance or access to preventive dental services.

Preventive dental services are provided free of charge by Peel Public Health dental staff to those children who qualify.

Children 17 years old or younger living in Peel Region must first receive a dental screening to determine if they are eligible for these services.
